Where to get Jubilee link (old folded style)?

Hi to all.

My 1968 DJ 1601 is missing one or more links, next to the last link from the clasp on the locking side (where the coronet is sculpted).

It's making the band's edge look "jaggy" like a step, as it goes from a wide link to a narrow one with the in-between size link gone. I will post a picture later today.

I assume my father (who left it to me) removed the link(s) to size it and the link is now lost.

Can someone please suggest a way to replace the missing link, either with original or possibly after-market links? The band is not the original one from '68 but a service replacement placed by Rolex in the 90's.

Anyone folks?

Dis I post this in the wrong section maybe? Should I move it to Rolex Tech?

I would have thought this was easy-peasy for all the experts on this forum

Thanks again for any suggestions!

this doesn't answer your question but i'm curious why you would want to add a link if the bracelet fits? the step you see is what's to be expected when a couple links are removed and doesn't mean anything as long as the bracelet fits because the last link has to be that size for the clasp to work properly. i also don't understand why you're asking about a folded link bracelet... wouldn't a service replacement bracelet from the 90's have solid links? all the best!

Good question. The most important reason, is that I would actually feel more comfortable, if I could move the clasp a bit out from my lower wrist which the extra link would accomplish.

The other thing, is that I've actually been sizing the band with the clasp's adjustment feature, i.e my dad wore it with the bracelet pinned to the innermost position in the clasp while I wear it pinned to the outermost.

So while it's true that if I add the link back it will perhaps mean setting the band to 2nd clasp position, it's still the case that for my wrist the band doesn't need major resizing, and I'd like it to look nice.

So to re-iterate, any advice on where to get such a link would be appreciated.

Personally I have no strong feelings about using an original or an aftermarket link but all the aftermarket bands are solid (understandably). Of course I'd prefer an original if it's not too expensive.
