1680 Case
Does anyone know where I could find a 1680 case for sale? I have all the other parts that are original rolex but a case for the sub. and I do not want an aftermarket one as that defeats the purpose.
Thanks Jason |

The 1680 uses the same movement as a Datejust.. So, you are saying that you have a movement, a dial, and some hands, and you want to turn this into a 1680 Sub.......... If the movement and parts can be proved to be from a 1680, and you have a good story, then Rolex ought to be able to fit it into a replacement case; likely far, far cheaper than you will be able to buy a vintage, original 1680 case for..

Yes, I have a 1570 movement with the original hands, dial etc. Came across a great deal and wanted to put in the rightful case. Whats a repalcement case run from them? Do you know?

What dial do you have, IMO it would be best to get the correct serial based on the dial.

I have a white dial and a red dial with matching hands. The case I found matches a white dial.

There is a 1680 case for a red sub (3.0 serial) on sale on TZ by TuscanyRose for $3700 OBRO.
