Patek Phillipe Aquanaut 5066

Presenting the Aquanaut 4066 by Patek Phillipe. It's a boy size case, well, by Rolex standards anyway, and it's currently sized for MrsJedi's wrist. It's an extremely elegant piece, with a very accurate movement, non-COSC, but not many Pateks are such.

It is simply stunning to look at and to wear, with the most beautiful movement I've ever seen visible through the caseback. The build quality and finishing is simply outstanding for a stainless steel model, and as it's a Patek, it damn well better be! It's running at +1/day at the moment.

Without a doubt, this has been our craziest watch acquisition on impulse during a recent trip to Hong Kong, and I'm surprised that this piece came along with an impressive price for a Patek and the model, and we were told that this was the last new piece ever on the island. This was confirmed when we spoke to a few more ADs while on the trip and discovered that shipments of the new model 5167 at 40mm are to be expected any time. With production at 700 or so a year, we feel fortunate.

Should also add that it's rated to 120m.

That's a beautiful watch. I doubt Mrs. Jedi will be wearing it for long. Mr. Jedi will change the strap configuration to fit his wrist while Mrs. Jedi sleeps.

Ah Grasshopper...

Man who wants to change configuration of Aquanaut strap will have to shell out $200 for a new Tropical Rubber Strap as strap requires cutting in order to fit...

I'm actually thinking of either the new 5167 Aquanaut which is 40mm, or a 5711 Nautilus which is 42mm.

I love that watch. I happened upon one at a PP Auth Dealer down south a little over 5.5 years ago, after having given up finding one during a 4 month search. Best of all, he gave me a discount off the MSRP! That watch is easily now worth about 3 to 4 times what I paid for it, but this is irrelevant, since I will never sell it. Nice find! Wish I could find another at a reasonable price because I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

Nice work Hassie... please post some pics of your 5066. It's always great when a sought after piece comes along at a good price. We picked up the 5066 for a good price too and have added a 5165 to the collection as well. Sort of tracking the Aquanaut as it develops!!

She's a beauty Lee. Wish my Mrs. MFer would like PP. She's into Cartier and Rolex only. *sigh*

Love it!

Great looking watch and fits your wife's wrist perfect. One of my favorite dial configurations for PP.
