Icon20 1935? Old codger

Can anyone ID my inherited watch, its driving me nuts.

Watch material 9crt gold
Number on the outside back of case 45428 and underneath that 829
Watch style Rectangular curved back
Bottom of the face separate oblong second hand dial
Arabic numbers
The watch's rectangular minute increments are found inside the watch's gold numbers
The hands are blue gunmetal.
When fully wound, the watch runs for 40 hours.

Photo’s available when I learn how to post them

Posting pics is very straight forward.

Once you have them on your PC go back into the post (or create a fresh one in this thread).

Go advanced --> Manage Attachments ---> Browse the photo(s) -----> Upload & Save

Hello Paul, Sorry about the delay in replying. Yes, I was aware of how to upload photo's as you say.
However, my TIF photos were over 6500 Kb's each, far too large. However I have now been able to reduce. Everybody please view & ID.

REGARDS,
Bardie2.

Well done Larry & Dalton. So my old codger is a -

1938 model 829 with an Aegler Hunter movement.

What was model 829 called, not Prince for sure, but what?
Also, what is an Aegler Hunter movement? Another watch company under licence?

Aegler made all of Rolex movements.. In the early days they also made movements for Gruen, who sold in the US, while Rolex sold in Europe. The Rolex Prince and the Gruen watches used the same movements.

Aegler made two styles of movement... Rebbert and Hunter, with the later Hunter using a seconds hand at the 6'oclock position.

Aegler joined with Wilsdorf and Davis and eventually changed it's name to The Rolex Watch Company.
