X3. It's well known Rolex used whatever was on hand at the time. They're the same piece. It's not uncommon to have a 13 with a 12 caseback and vice versa.
It's my understanding that in the states RUSA will use a 13 caseback on 1680s coming in for a new caseback as well as 1680 stamped casebacks are no longer in the system here. |

As to the O rings...
In the second case, the O ring is just stuck to the case-back... It could be taken off and reinstalled in the case before the case back is refitted..

Err buddies...on Ref 5513 Sub...similarly with Ref 5512 / 1680 Sub...
usually the Gasket Seal is fitted on the Caseback cover... as these cases are without groove for it...flat. On Ref 16800 / 168000 Sub...or 1675 / 16750 / 16760 GMT... or 16570 Exp II...or 1665 / 16660 SD for examples... the Gasket Seal is fitted to the Case... with groove...while the Caseback outer perimeter is flat...(without grove) On Ref 16750 Caseback marking "Patented"... The later ones would not have it... The early 16750 caseback might have it...like the Ref 1675... Orchi's response is also posted in the VRF... Hopes the above helps... http://www.network54.com/Forum/20759...f+again.%2B%2B |
