5513 gilt or white
Hi All,
I'm a new comer in the rolex world and lern a lot on this forum. I have one question on the 5513. I understand that this model has been produced between 1962 and 1990. My understanding is that between 1962 and 1967 all the 5513 were sold with a gilt dial. This mean that all the 5513 you can find on the market with white dial have serviced and that the dial has been replaced during the service. Is there someone who can confirmed the above? Kind regards Fab |

I think that some vintage gilt dial watches, that have been serviced have retained the original gilt dials.
Dials are not replaced just because a watch is serviced. So you will find some with white print and some with gold print. You really need to look at each watch and judge it on its merits. I have a 9million 5513 and it has a matt tritium dial without the white gold surrounds. Now is that dial original? Some say yes, some say no, some say maybe. I don't know for sure.
