i found Mike LaScala from another posting on here, that was several years old.

My circa 1986 lady date just had been losing time, and finally wouldn't stay running, stopping at 11:45 PM every night. It had been sent to Rolex in NYC for an over-haul back in 1994, so it was due. p.S. When it came back from NYC, it continued to lose 5-7 minutes over a week or so.

Not only did Mike take it apart, clean and work his magic on it, he sold me two additional links for only $25 each and replaced my plastic crystal with a sapphire crystal - at no charge!!

The cost to repair the watch was $250, plus the 2 links - $300 out the door.

For the first time since I received it back in '86, it's keeping perfect time!

Mike is located in the Design Center in ATL, so the only way to reach him is via phone. He is, at times, difficult to get hold off.

The numbers. I have for him are 404-524-4844, and 404-421-0018. I'm not sure, but I believe the first number is the business number, and the second is his cell. No website. Tiny shop - just a father and son team that does excellent work, at a fraction of what the Jewelers charge.

You absolutely won't be sorry!

Thought I would drop another positive review here after sending my A serial 14060 Sub to Mike LaScala based on the above review and several older ones I saw on the forum. Had it back 2 weeks from the day I sent it. It was keeping extremely erratic time and stopping after 10-11 hours after a full wind.

I received it back one week ago and immediately set it to time.gov and it is currently 2 seconds slow, so I am ecstatic with the performance. It did not need a polishing, so the servicing was only $200 ($250 with polishing) and I feel like I got an excellent deal for such quality work. Highly recommended.

I was wearing my watch about two weeks ago, and noticed condensation inside the glass. Not a good thing. I immediately contacted Mike LaScala. While I waited he dried out the inside and found a crack in the crystal. He replaced it and the rubber gasket for free. I'd like to see any other shop top that! I had another issue with it back around Christmas. Again, Mike to the rescue, with no charge. This guy and his son, Micheal are consummate experts on repairing Rolex watches. You will not go wrong. Only issue is that he is inside the Atlanta Design Center, and 'civilians' cannot just walk in, so if he does not have phone service or whatever, you are stuck outside until you contact him. Just make arrangements before heading down there and all will be well.
