Thank you all for your warm welcome. This is such a nice forum to be part of, everyone is so polite and so complimentary of others' pride and joy. It's not like some of the motorhead forums that I frequent from time to time, where threads often become very personal and nasty.

Having done more than my fair share of reading and researching, I've narrowed my decision down to the Explorer II. Now, it's a matter of blanche ou noir. I'm leaning more towards the snow model, purely because I will get the SS Daytona Black dial in the not too distant future and not wanting to end up with 2 black dials. In an ideal world where money grows on trees, I wouldn't hesitate in getting both black and white Explorer II. The design to me is just so stealth like, practical and a great everyday watch. It would be absolutely perfect if only the bezel could rotate.

I've been in touch with DavidSW and it won't be long before the right one turns up on my front door steps.
