I’ve owned three and always sell them because after the honeymoon phase, I always reach for a Rolex. I’ve actually been looking at picking one up again.…Which is pure insanity. But I love the history and think it’s a beautiful watch and that makes me think I should own one. I like what others have said about the 321. But kind of worried I’d just buy a more expensive speedy and still reach for a Rolex.

earlier this week, i finally traded in my 1863 for a 3861 sapphire sandwich, and i have to say, i should've done this many moons ago, it's SO much more appealing to me, particularly the much improved bracelet. i was barely wearing my original speedy, but this one is sure to get mucho wrist time.

I finally purchased a Speedmaster Professional moonwatch about a decade ago but unfortunately sold it after owning for a couple years. Don't remember exactly why - maybe the hesalite got too scratched up, maybe I wasn't in the best financial place at the time.

Either way, I eventually regretted selling, and purchased again about 3 years later. Yet again, I sold that one after a year and a half.

I told myself that it would be stupid to rinse and repeat this behavior, even though my admiration for the Speedy continued on. However, I recently saw a video of the Ed White 321, and simply couldn't resist. I purchased about a month ago and I have to tell you, like others have said on this thread, this watch is simply another thing altogether.

I feel very differently about this watch than the previous ones. It almost feels like the perfect watch for me. If you know.. you know. Significant but not too showy. Packed with heritage. A smaller case, a superior bracelet, the beautiful 321 movement, sapphire glass, perfect proportions... This feels like a mainstay in the collection.
I think it’s very interesting to read what people think of the 321.

Despite it being very similar to a standard moon watch in basic design, I find it a very different watch to wear and own.

Having had my 321 for a while now I still love it and I think Omega did a great job with the 321.

Of all the pieces I own my Speedie is my absolute favourite, I would never sell my 1861.

Buy one, keep it and grow to love it
