London, Paris, Prague, Munich, Frankfurt
I am writing this inflight after spending time in London, Paris, Prague, Munich, and Frankfurt as well as the major airports in each city. No steel professional watches to be seen or purchased. I got laughs from several of the salons when asked about the new GMT Pepsi. The number of new GMT Pepsi’s received averaged 6 in the Rolex salons to 2 at Wempe and 4 at Bucherer. The same was true for Patek Nautilus and Aquanaut models. Got big smiles when I wore my Blue Skydweller and my Aquanaut. Used them to let the dealers know I was a serious/addicted watch guy. I ordered via my local Dallas dealer the morning of introduction the new Pepsi GMT but have yet to receive it. I was number 2 on my salesman’s list but there are at least 3 more sales people in the store. So maybe 2019 will be my year to receive it having ordered it the morning of introduction. Several of the dealers were very direct and stated they would only sell the steel professional watches to their established customers and offering to buy something they had on hand didn’t open any doors. The drought continues.

I think smaller towns will offer the best luck for a speculative visit
