Congrats Seth! Lot of work, but when it is all done, you will have a home you put the time and effort into. Looks like a great place and neighborhood.

Some pics of the inside. I hear the patio is really shaping up, so heading over today to check that out. These are from a few days ago.

The new windows are also in. Can’t wait to see how they look.

I think my favorites bits about the house are the stain glass windows and the old school door knobs.

A pic of the master bedroom. It was the attic previously. It was tough to get the scope, but it’s really very beautifully done.

The new laundry units as well. We moved that whole set up from the basement to the second floor. My wife didn’t give me much of a choice about that...

Not that I’ve had much of a choice about anything.

Looks great! I've always liked the new/clean look with some original details mixed in to tie it all together. Adds some warmth and preserves some of the original parts of the house.

Since your W/D are now upstairs I would look into one of those auto on/off water valves just to be safe.

I agree about old and new accents mixing. I really like it. The moldings of this place are literally from 1927. I’ll get a picture of some of that today too.

We do have a pan underneath the washer, but I’ll check the auto valves out too. Thanks for the advice.

I really like it. In some older homes you get a lot of character that only time will produce. Congratulations.

Looks very nice Seth. As you mentioned the flipper did a good job on the reno. You did well. Oh and moving the laundry to the second floor was the right call.

Very nice... such a beautiful home. You will surely have so much enjoyment living there.

There was a reason you didn't buy the other property. This is your jewel of a find! It was meant for you. Congratulations.

Blessings, DM

congrats!

(prop) taxes in the tri-state area are beyond extortionate, as is usually the case in these kinds of states (you can prob infer what i mean). and this thievery only ever goes up. the american dream of home "ownership" is really just, even if outright buying for cash, renting from the state under direct threat of the gun. you own neither your property nor your means of production.

but enjoy your new home!!! it'll clean up really nicely.

The back yard is shaping up nicely.

Loving how the fire pit looks. Can’t wait to use this.

The fireplace doesn’t work. I’m fact, the removed the chimney.

So we are putting in a ventless gas unit and rocking the top to put a piece of art, along with retiling the entire bottom. It was my wife’s idea.

Well that’s a little dramatic Debbie downer.

My taxes are pretty nuts for the rest of country. But the lowest of any town we looked in. Any low for pretty much the entire surrounding area. In fact the entire tristate area.

I love NJ. Born and raised. It’s given me a great place to grow up. And I’m grateful for all the opportunity it affords me.

Pros and cons to everything. Property taxes are the least of my concerns. I’ve got much bigger fish to fry.

Is the chimney gone, or just blinded off?

I love your floors and millwork. I hope you keep that look.
