Christmas Tree!

I have never had a real Christmas tree but this year I decided it was time. Loaded up the family into the Tacoma this morning and headed to the nearest tree farm. I’ll post more pics once it’s up and decorated. Let’s see everyone’s Christmas Trees!

Lovely - can’t beat a real tree. The smell and feel of it brings Xmas to life.

All of those trees are so perfect. Nothing better than a real tree. Two-years ago we decided to go with a fake tree, they got so real you can't really tell the difference visually. But you do lose out on that smell and authenticity.

Christmas Tree!

Gotta have a real tree in a log house ! Since this will be my last Christmas in log, my daughter is grown and has her own place, keeping everything simple. Not bad for a bachelor though ..........

Simple 8 ft :

Yep, building a four bay garage house with 850 sq ft living space, all one level on a small lot ! I’m done with the “house and land thing”, time to live simple and enjoy life.

We just got back from a 2600 mile trek in our Saab and picked a tree up on the last 10 miles home. Good times for sure.

Those are beautiful trees! You should see what passes for a fir tree here.
When the kids were little, I used to go off with my axe and find a small fir tree beside the road and cart it home in the back seat of the car with half sticking out.
It would drop all it's needles and be dead as a Dodo a week before Christmas.
Smelled nice, though....

We put it up over the weekend, mom knitted the balls herself, and we have some little metsl puppets from Copenhagen hanging in there.

In 2016 the Official Christmas Tree at the Christmas Market was a beech tree. Traditionally, conifers are used for this purpose.

Great thread!

Have to stick with the artificial ones here due to allergies but still turned out pretty good!
