I'm disappointed Steve... Where are the Proust and Gold Dragon?
I'll be getting my 149 back from repair soon. Confirmed that's it's not just a BB but BBB |

BBBBut that is impossible, there is no such thing as BBB You mean O3B don't you? or a custom made nib don't you To get a BBB is like saying you put your Rolex in for service and it's coming back with a transparent caseback....... No sorry Kai I'm not buying that I know you are persuasive but you can't get blood from a stone pal

Well, Eric who repaired it for me compared the nib with his other confirmed BB and OBBB 149 and mine has wider/thicker lines so what he concluded is that my pen has BBB, either MB did it or someone else did it I wouldn't know of course.
I would trust Eric's comments. Can't argue against the resident MB guru in FPN. Have a look at the nib. It's not oblique so has to be 2B or 3B. Let's compare when I get it back BTW, I'll be getting a Nakaya green celluloid music nib so let's see how it compares to the MB. |

I've been enjoying all the pictures everyone has been posting and am really starting to like the Agatha Christie!!!
As for nibs I really like the extra fine nib on my MB A. F. Chopin.....

I must say the MB Meisterstuck + Rolex Sub combo is so classy. You can't get wrong with them. Even adding the BB into the mix seems acceptable (sorry I hate these "push-email" gadgets )

Kai, I think that is a BBB or at least a very widely cut BB
There was a time when montblanc did make BBB and it is possible that your nib may have been a special order. The reason I didn't show a Proust is because that is still in the box sealed from the factory. Also the Y2K Golden Dragon is still at Montblanc in Germany getting a new nib.

Excellent photos all! Nothing like MBs and Rolexs that go together.
I just can't see the guys that wear a lovely Rolex Sub or TT GMT and then walk around with a plastic BIC in their pockets. Sheesh!!!
