Gmt 16750

Hello, if anyone can answer this question about a gmt 16750, I would appreciate it. I have seen in a Rolex brochure that the 16750 gmt pepsi had a reference number of 16750/A.
I saw a Rolex box that had a sticker on it that had 16750/B. Does the B indicate anything like bracelet type or bezel color or does it mean anything else? Thanks

The 16750 had either a Pepsi or an all black bezel, during its 8-9 year run in the 80's. But if I'm not wrong, this type of A,B,N etc. "code", was only used during the later 16710 references.

This is correct. On the USA typed warranty papers for the 16750, the style number is listed at the top of the warranty paper above the serial number - such as R16750A30B6251 which indicates a GMT 16750 with a 62510 Jubilee bracelet. There are no 16750B30----- or 16750N30----- used for the style number. Also, on the green sleeve that many of the warranty papers came in often have a long paper sticker attached to the top of this sleeve with watch info typed on the sticker which would read R16750A/B62510007 for a GMT 16750 with 62510 Jubilee bracelet.

Based on my experience, my speculation would be that the 16750/B box sticker might have been for a black bezel insert or some type of inventory control. I can not say for sure. I've also seen vintage boxes with small circular stickers on them in different colors which I believe had something to do with dial color.
