Even if Rolex were available, all of my upcoming purchases will be GS or Seiko.

No matter my financial status, I still appreciate value. Seiko makes the best watches for the money, period. They even make better watches for less money. I have a few Rolex, and I like ‘em, but in my opinion, Grand Seiko makes a better watch for less money.

I have to agree now.. Rolex is more associated with social status nowadays.

Grand Seiko Experiences?
Quote:
Agreed. I had 2 Grand Seiko’s. I had the SBGX115, the white dialed quartz diver, what a special watch. I sold it so I could buy a BLNR. I’m looking forward to the reissue, as I will buy it. However it was a little heavy. I owned the SNGN001 for a few days *, returned it for a North Flag. I couldn’t quite bond with it, I think partially it was the fit. At the end of the day, Grand Seiko provides excellent value, especially the 9F movements. Their dials are incredible. I specifically like their white dials. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thank you! I highly recommend the SGH-267 Highbeat. That's the GS watch on the top left.

I've handled a few and I was really impressed, they're very well made.

I have my eye on one at a local seller's shop. I have a big pending business deal and if I close it I am going to reward myself with a nice X-mas present. I don't like to wear my Rolex while at work and this would be perfect. I also don't have to say a word to the wife as she won't blink an eye at a new Seiko in the case!

I have two, both Hi-Beat.
The fit and finish is superb, easily beating Swiss brands that cost more than twice the money. When it comes to dial and hands, I’m not sure I’ve even seen an equivalent unless you are willing to pay insane money. One thing about GS is that they have to be seen in real life, they are not easy to capture in photos. There are a lot of facets and plays of light that just get lost in a photograph.
