Well, was in my own happy Rolex world for more than the last decade, having started acquiring Rolexes in 1999. Happily alternating a nice assortment of about 10-12 Rolexes and not looking forward or backwards.

Then awoke and decided I wanted to replace my first Rolex, a Submariner I bought around 1999 and gave to someone as a gift.

I found a 114060 on Facebook of all places, got a great price for a perfect example. I was smitten!

But a close friend who i worked with years really also wanted the same watch...To make a long story short..and it is a long story..I sold the 114060 to my friend and I managed to get a 124060. In the week between getting the 114060, I got a 126610LN and then traded it for the 124060..exhausting and only worth it because i made my friend realize his grail piece. he is so happy, he won't take it off his wrist. It's a great feeling.

I wouldn't bother to have changed from the 114060 and to me, it doesn't matter all that much. This one is great but to be honest, I can wear my others longer and they feel a bit better in some ways on the wrist.

I'm clearly lucky to have what i have, they are all great!
