Incoming 5230G

Always wanted a world time and this one surprised me after trying some 5110 and 5130s.

agree. Had a long look at VC and others, but PP just had the history and the goods. understated in exactly the way I was looking for.

I have it and love it. One of the most underappreciated Pateks.

Congrats!

Congratulations the 5230 is the perfect word time, the lugs are like the 1953’s version and really make the watch, the crown guards ruined the earlier models in my opinion, this months Revolution magazine has an excellent article on the history of the world time, check it out.

Thank you and great article! I was a little torn as the 5130P with the blue dial was a sight to behold but agree about the crown guards and history!

Thank you. It’s currently on the patent black alligator but I have the midnight blue strap which will go on shortly as it is stunning and matches the daytime numerals on the dial.

4th Patek in a collection of others. Some say I have a problem

Congrats!! This is also my first Patek and I love it. Please post a picture with your blue strap. I've be been debating getting a navy blue one, maybe in matte.

GREAT looking watch. I just acquired at 5230G last week and am loving it as well. While the standard WG version was sight to behold, I opted for the 2017 New York Expo release with the blue center dial. It came standard on a dark blue strap to match the dial colors.

A PP world timer has been on my short list since they were reintroduced in 2000 with the 5110. Having operated the 5110 I have found that the 5230 is much smoother when changing cities. Overall the watch is sublime.

Scurfa - Was the world time clock photo above at an AD or on your wall? I'd love to have one of those......

Enjoy.
