Vintage Look -New Speedy Pro with Modern 1039
I ordered the bracelet for the 50th anniversary speedy back in November and it came in today. I dropped by the omega boutique, they fit the band for me, gave me some champagne and a red case with tool for changing the band. Looks fantastic, band is solid but not too heavy, very silky and comfortable , no pinching.

Cost at Omega Boutique was $710. The nice part is you do not have to get different end links, its a clean swap.

Very slick, I like it! And that price is no different than the regular bracelets.

Did they have to modify the case or bracelet to get the fitment right? I have been under the impression that the 50th has a step or shelf to the inside of the case that prevented the bracelet from mating to a standard Speedy pro. Also, can you provide the part number for this bracelet? Thanks.

I was quoted $850 from a boutique and an AD when I purchased a modern speedy pro bracelet for my ST1. Perhaps that one is more expensive, but I can't think of any reason why it should be the case...

That's what i want, I love that bracelet. Looking for my first chrono and stopping in and talking to an Omega SA yesterday about the 321 EW coming out, waits, VIP lists etc. and asking a bracelet question on the hesalite moonwatch he said wait til summer they are also going to have a moonwatch hesalite version coming out, same but with a couple of mvmt. tweeks and a tapered bracelet. So I'm on board and waiting.

That looks fantastic! How's the fit on the caseback side?

Other thing to note is that the bracelet is really thin compared to others. Light and comfy

I’m in the minority here for sure, but I think the flat link bracelets look better and make more sense on the straight lug speedy. The modern versions have curved, rounded lugs, and lots of round edges. The modern bracelet can be faulted for not being easily adjustable. However it has more rounded-ness and texture making it look more integrated to my eye than the flat link options. The pic above, really does not look integrated. I see a great watch and I see a great bracelet, but it looks out of place to me. Flat and square shapes do not mesh as nicely with a case that has many soft and round edges. Sorry.

But point taken. Horses for courses. Personally I think the current moon watch bracelet is what let’s the watch down. I guess if they can sort Out the protruding endlinks and fit an adjustable clasp then it might be a winner. |
