Buying Grey

Thinking about pulling the trigger on the grey market. From one of the sellers listed in this forum. Anything I should worry about? How does the warrenty work when going this route? Any downside, aside from the price?

Whatever manufacture warranty that is left will transfer to you since it follows the watch and not the person who bought it (same as everything else you buy).

No downsides I can think of if the price is right and you buy from the right dealer.

Buy the seller! I have had quite a few great transactions through TRF, but that does not mean scammers are not lurking about. Do your homework!

I bought a SD43 on Chrono24 and had a great transaction. Money sits in escrow until you get delivery of watch. I communicated all of my questions with seller through the Chrono24 website before I bought so it was all documented. You have a paper trail if watch isn’t as advertised when you take delivery. The verified sellers on the site depend on great customer reviews. One bad review jeopardizes their ability to sell. Chrono24 gives you a two week window to figure out any issues you have with watch. They control the money, so a refund would be channeled through them.

Easy to day they are great when the transaction goes as planned I wonder what happens when their is an issue and you have the watch, and escrow has the $
