Yes, I managed to look at the OPs and LV when I collected the Submariner. What did you think of them?

I think the OPs will be a hit, but personally, a bit too much colour for me. I like the more classic look of the Submariner, etc. The LV? Wow. It's a stunner!

I'm interested on your thoughts of this vs the 116600. I have a 116600 as well and think it's the perfect fit for my tiny wrists with the slimmer lugs, but find it a bit top heavy. Do you see both co-existing? I have seen the 124060 at one of my ADs, but I can't be fully sure how it'll wear until it's sized down.
My wrist is slimmer, too; 6.5-6.75". I love the SD4K, but I agree, I find it a bit top-heavy sometimes. The bracelet is probably a bit loose for me at the moment, so it'll need adjusting.

The Submariner 124060 has the thinner profile, flat crystal, etc., but it still feels substantial with the wider bracelet and clasp. I think Rolex have totally nailed the size/thickness balance with this model.

I know they're very similar, but for us watch fans, they can absolutely co-exist! No doubt about it, however, the Submariner will be getting the most wrist time.

I will take some comparison pics when I get a chance...

Looks good.

In the absence of a the old model for comparison the lugs still look very wide?

Do you find the clasp length a bit too long and wide?

Just interested in some feed back as I am thinking of a 126610

No, I don't find it too big. I know it's subjective, but I just love the clasp design on this model. It's not the standard oysterclasp - it's a bigger, more rugged, ultra-secure oysterlock - part of the whole package of a cool luxury dive watch/utility watch.

I was considering the SD43 for a long time, but it was just too thick for me. The new clasp looks and feels more like a SD43 clasp on a thinner watch - not sure if they're exactly the same. The SD43 has the diver extension, whereas the sub doesn't.

Definitely try it out in person! It's not as big as some are making it out to be, but for me, it's just the sweet spot. I love it!

Lugs are perfect, trust me!

‘Game over’ ....... until the next one!

Congratulations it’s a beauty!

Is it my eyes or does the white text on the new 12xxx series dials look a lot bolder & brighter than on the 11xxx series models??

Enjoy

Yes, I fear that may be the case!

Well, apparently the newer models have an anti-reflective coating on the underside of the crystal. I'm not sure if the older models had this, but it could be why the dial looks clearer!
