BC-ish almost.

Those who will notice a flashy Rolex fall into 2 categories:

Because #2 is worse than doo-doo

Honestly IMO that bezel is not nearly as flashy as the blue one..... if you’re looking for the bling

My thoughts as well. I really like the blue much better and suspect it will hold up better as well with the Cerachrom bezel insert.

How about the black dial version?

Is that the sweet spot? Slightly less flashy? Equally epic!

Buy YG anything and always wear long sleeves. Roll up when you desire attention and roll down when you think it attracts the wrong crowd. ;)

I think you're overthinking it a bit

If you want the wrist presence then this is the watch for you. 18k rose gold skydweller. It’s all you need and you will impress the simple person who is in awe of the “Rolex” and the WIS who appreciates its Rolex’s most complicated movements. But not all WIS look at Rolex in such high accord. For that you will need a PP or something along the lines of a JLC (the watchmakers watch) tourbillion.

I am totally overthinking it. But that's part of the fun.

I wear lots of golf shirts and tshirts tbh. Just wont wear it if i think im going to a questionable area. I think that's the play.

To all the rich white people on here. I don't have ROO solid gold or PM skydweller money. I can't live without a deal. 116618 USED with that delicious depreciation.

Off topic, but with your alias of miataguy do you also drive a Miata?

LOL - hilarious.

If you want flash just go get a Full Gold SkyDweller or DD40 - the bezel will shine like nothing else and if you get the DD the presidential bracelet shines like crazy as well.

You should get something in yellow gold. If you like the Yacht-Master II, it in yellow gold should accomplish your goal.

Posts like these, reflect what the OP, perceives as , "pulling the wool".......but the entire premise was poorly prefaced.

I'm wondering if i can get almost as much wrist presence as a gold ceramic sub blue dial 116618. I'm looking for something that draws attention but not so much which could put me in danger when with a loved one. Hopefully that makes sense.

Been mulling over the gold sub, but im thinking that the YM2 in WG/P gives me more PM and isn't as in your face as YG. Also, i like the fact that there's no confusing this model as a replica. Weight, also it isn't popular.

Do you think the 116689 YM2 will give me the wrist presence i desire (within reason). I know most people don't know a thing about watches but i would like the extra attention sometimes.
Yeah, I don't think the Rolex brand is your watch. You seem like a Breitling kind of guy to me. Go with that. You can get a real nice one second hand at a favourable price, they're blingy and no one's going to want to steal it from you.

You're in Toronto, even a nice used one like what Sean has over at Watchfinder in Cumberland is going to set you back $40K. Forget the gold one at $51K.

I really like the WG YM2...it will probably be the next watch I add. It doesn't have as much presence as the SS model with the bright blue bezel, but it is a stunner IMO.

Sounds like you a describing a rose gold piece to me. A white gold/platinum watch will just get confused for stainless Steele and yellow gold can be a bit ott at times. Rose gold draws the perfect balance

Only yellow gold will draw the attention you want. As for putting you or your loved ones in danger, that's more to do with the surroundings so I would avoid certain places at certain times of the day unless you carry a gun, but even then why risk it?
