Scammer with 16710 for $5700
I was just contacted by someone who saw my WTB post for a GMT and sent me several photos of a nice pepsi GMT Master for $5700 and when I expressed some interest he pushed for wire transfer payment. He told me the watch was 3 years old and clearly it was not with GMT Master dial, holes in the case and older style 501 end links. When questioned, he then stated he purchased it 3 years ago. I requested more photos and he obliged showing photos of Ref. #16710 and Ser. P7XX,XXX. Now that I showed hesitation, he suggested payment through Paypal with buyer protection. So now we had a GMT Master with GMT II ref. and ser. numbers. I politely backed away, but told him before I would even consider any further discussion, I would need to see detailed photos of the movement and he produced those. Now I see several photos of an open case back with Rolex caliber 3185, which is correct for the 16710, but now the bracelet has SEL's and obviously a no-holes case. This guy is clearly a snake an misrepresenting a watch he likely does not own.

These are most of the photos in 3 different emails from him. Clearly not the same watch in all photos!

At least two different watches there from solid to hollow end links, GMT-Master +16710 ...16710 should be a GMT-Master II... etc etc. Lucky escape.
