Nice to see more of these long term wearer threads!

Do you have any other watches in the collection?

I was gifted a Rolex sea dweller when I graduated college but I sold it. I simply love this watch and didn't see the need for that expensive of one

I don't doubt that :)

I am just saying that hopefully you will continue your relationship with this watch for many years.

I think it is amazing that you have kept it and used it for so long.

My dad is currently using a mechanical Citizen watch that he bought new back in the 70's.

I hope one day I can be like you guys

Nice watch! It's cool that you see past the Rolex thing, a watch doesn't expensive to be enjoyable, Seiko makes great watches!

Cool vid

I like the seconds hand on those old divers.

I notice it’s different from my srpa21.

As you can see I wore it alot but also took very good care not to scatch it and beat it all up. Eventually I will add a 40mm white face explorer 2 to my little collection.
Btw I did lose the Swiss army knife while building a massive tree house in the woods

Now that is a lifelong companion. Very nice. My son asked for a watch for his twelfth birthday and I got him an SKX007. He wears it every day and loves it. Hopefully he will keep it with him always, just like you.

I am by no means an expert, but no it is no longer made.

At least not the exact same configuration.

The model that succeeds yours would be the Seiko SRP779.

I can see some differences, like the hour markers, the seconds hand...

I currently have a 30T2 on my wrist that my grandfather bought new in 1945 to celebrate the end of hostilities. Still ticking away quite happily.

As is my 6309-7290 that dates to 1987. Watches on the whole far outlast our own ability to retain material items. The urge to 'upgrade' is strong... Grass is always greener...

Lume pip is the round dot up top. That looks like a Seiko SKX173.

I think it looks like an older Seiko turtle no?

It doesn’t look like the case of the skx.
