The ride quality is fantastic with the standard suspension and even better if you choose PASM or Air Suspension. Cheers.

You guys are making me want another pcar! Nice thread! I had a few myself, all were cars in need of love. Had lots of fun tearing them apart only to have to put it back together again. Lol! Air cooled models are my favorites but, theres charm in watercooled power. Wouldn't mind a 1987 g50'd carerra

Not being a huge fan of sports cars per se I think that Porsche is one of the only "supercars" that is practical and good looking and brilliantly made all in one package. I know several people who use it as a daily drive. It is also a great piece of modern machinery but with an obvious lineage. Paralells with Rolex to some extent, but so do other brands.

Another red. Yes these cars are a bit different from the lot, especially the older ones, with built quality that allowed daily use without problems. The new ones I love but are beyond my reach or needs.

Both are perceived as status symbols by those who don't know the history and engineering that goes into them. Both are truly driven by performance.

However, I fear for Porsche now that they are owned by VAG. The Macan is a great car no doubt but the underlying Q5 is a great car. I say this being a long time Porschefile and having owned and even done some amateur racing in several.

Getting OT but the Q5 reaches new levels of dullness for Audi, no sorry the Q3 is even duller

My 993s was a great match for my SS Daytona.

Still have the Daytona. Not the Porsche.

Here's my BY GMT while we wait for the 911 40th Anniv to be serviced. And the departed Daytona, IIRC right after the F1 GP in Austin in 2013.

Indeed. Going back a few years..

But this little beauty is hard to beat for simplicity and the joy of pure driving.

Porsche did not make a C2S in 1995. A C2, but not a C2S (which were only made in '97 and '98). Further, if it were a C2S it would say 'Carrera S' on the tach.

Vintage Porsche is like vintage Rolex. There are lots of details to know.
