Watch looks amazing and the pictures are great, but you should read the rules of the Forum....

...these photos will soon disappear , so you will need to post some more without such background, despite the fact that they "smell" of Bond !

Ya I just read the rules. My bad. I would delete the whole thread if I could. I'm happy just to be a lurker.
That was my father's pistol. An antique too. I was just sharing.
I notified a moderator to remove them.
I wont post again.

That's a shame, sorry to hear (read) it. Congrats on a beautiful heirloom piece that you can wear with pride and hand down to your children. Thanks for sharing your experience and family pics with us.

Its just that serious. I can post a picture of some d-bag in his speedo sitting in his Ferrari wearing a rolex or any of a million other things that I find offensive but if I post a tasteful picture of my fathers military watch with his military pistol (or any gun , knife or sword I guess) than I run the risk of being banned or getting somehow penalized since it might offend someone. When the heck did guns become rated R?
The old man is probably rolling in his grave right now.
I feel incredibly stupid that I made posts to a forum that wont even let me edit my own posts especially when the rules are so silly. I sensed something was up but got caught up in the whole internet "look at me" mindset.
Had I closely read all the rules of this forum I never would have posted here at all. Thats my fault and I will own it but I wont do it again.

I just had to clear that up.

Regardless of the pics (which I missed seeing before they were yanked) just wanted to chime in and say, "Wow!" your watch looks fantastic. Chalk another one up for ABC!
Congrats on revitalizing that beauty. Enjoy

You are right. Forum life probably isn't for you if you get so bent out of shape for such a trivial thing. Many of the members here appreciate guns/sidearms and the military / family significance of your father's pistol makes it so special. This just isn't the correct venue for posting such pictures. I didn't make the rules, but I sure do respect them.

Enjoy your watch, and thanks for reaping the benefits of the experts here. There are ways to bow out gracefully, but this isn't one of them.

ABC was wonderful. They did the work on time and were willing to work with me and help me get what I wanted. Edvi and Beau were both very accommodating. I would highly recommend them.

ABC did a fantastic job on my 1665. I'm glad you found them before you made the mistake of trying to send your dad's watch to the RSC.

On a positive side, at least some of us newbie's now have
learned of the great work ABC performs.

Yes, it seems so, having seen another watch by NKflyer in post "What's going on with 5513's" by PDoukas. Great crisp polishing, looks like a NOS. Unfortunately mine is still like new, so.................I'll have to wait for another 30 or so years !!!!!

Beautiful work as always from ABC

Geese, you would slide right off them chamfers and break your neck - just brings a tear to see this
