Appreciate your honesty, I had a job to sleep after your comment ;-) .. By no means the best example but didn't turn out too bad in the end!

Apologies if my comment bothered you, but you did ask, and there is no denying the dial was ruined. Put it this way; I think Rolex would have replaced it at service! But you've clearly put a considerable amount of time, energy and enthusiasm [and probably money] into the project. MY made the best of it with some very commendable restorative work, and you now have a wearable SD to enjoy.

Looks absolutely amazing. MY did a great job. Yes some of the plots are altered but overall the dial is a HUGE improvement. Restoring these watches can gey expensive but theres nothing like it. Enjoy it my friend. It Will be a great daily wear.

I laughed at the posts that said it wasn’t worth restoring
And this was only 6 years ago!

I think I missed this story the first time around. Perfect example of when a dial restoration is absolutely the right thing to do.

A lot of us are nit-pickers who preach never to touch a vintage dial (myself included), but in this case, the dial was so shot and getting a replacement would be virtually impossible. Nice to see the whole watch brought back to life.

Great work by MY.
Doesn’t always work out that way though, he made a real mess of an Omega Speedmaster dial of mine.
Just be aware of the risks, you can’t go back.
