I am drooling onto my iphone!!!! I seriously adore the gmt 1675 Pepsi. Itching to collect my 1970 full set watch from Michael Morgan..... Love the photo too with the two gmt's against the double pink Camelia Sasanqua!

The thread asked a question, I answered it.

I don't pilot jets, I don't dive, I don't climb mountains, I don't explore volcanoes. It's nice that Rolex makes specialty watches for these professions, doesn't apply to me.

For the 99% of retail buyers who don't use Rolexes for their intended functions, it comes down to aesthetic and the Submariner and GMT significantly resemble each other, the difference being the GMT's colorful bezel choices. It's great that you like a festive, colorful watch. Enjoy it.

You've really turned into the forum troll with all your oddball and off-topic comments in every thread you've become involved. Maybe Rolex isn't for you and you should move on to something else.

Please, we're having a little fun in the Tom Selleck thread which is, admittedly, oddball. You're referring to the thread that asked why patina is interesting and this one which asks what's not to love about a GMT. Sorry you don't like my answers. Last time I checked this is a discussion forum, not a fanclub.

How to win friends and influence people; 1.1

The Rolex Forum is pretty much a fan-club. You don't need a PhD to figure that out. We have a lot of heathy discussion here, but a lot of people are getting tired of your troll-like antics in just about every thread you pollute. I've had several PMs about your recent activity.

Funny you mention PMs Karl. I've had two already myself regarding this guy and his antics, and they were yesterday before I commented in this thread.

Yeah, cry troll because someone asked what happens when patina ages ungracefully and states he prefers the Submariner's black bezel to a colorful one. The horror.

What's troll-like is you following me from thread to thread with personal attacks. Put me on ignore, it's what it's there for. I get PM's too. People like me. I like me too.

The GMT is probably the most versatile watch, regardless of reference…. I have always absolutely LOVED the GMT’s, both because of the design, but also because it’s a rugged watch that can take a beating and still look darned good

Switching tonight to this 55 year old gilt 1675 on its original stretch rivet hair puller. It's seen plenty of wear but it's still a total sweetie IMO.

Thanks. In some ways I think a gilt GMT has bits of the best of everything I love about 50's/60's vintage Rolex but in its own distinctive and coherent package.

Very nice set!

Always love those rusty/copper red and blue faded inserts

Yo tambien soy amante de los 1675, aqui el mio que le acabo de montar un armis jubile, sustituyendolo por su 7836. para mi le da un toque mas vintage.

asi antes..

asi ahora..

Luca - one of the Ferrari greats with a great taste in watches! Must say even as a Diehard Sub/SD guy, I love my GMTs! The 1675 is truly a beauty and the bicoloured insert just gives it the edge! Just wish Rolex would go back to this though clearly they never will!

1675

lying about on a sunday in Sydney looking at 1675s and I discovered the 1675 was owned and worn by (amongst others) Marlon Brando, Fidel Castro and Che Guevera, Magnum (of course), Pussy Galore (6542) and the amazing Pablo Picasso !!!!! Any doubts about the coolness of the GMT Pepsi 1675 have been sorted... amazing.
