Steel vs gold?

Have the 15400st which is among my most casual watches (can't really call it a beater) but also dresses up ok with a suit. There are a few 15400or blue dials at various trusted sellers and have thought about trading in/up. I have a big wrist and like the second hand, so 15202 doesn't work for me. Am wondering about steel vs gold and particularly if the gold bracelet is too blingy.

It can be 'blingy' without question. Does it look good, absolutely. Question is does it fit your lifestyle?

Gold is beatiful! But very blingy! What about a gold RO on a strap?

If you've got other casual steel watches, I don't see anything wrong with adding a gold piece.

Trade up if you have the means no question about it. No comparison between the feel or ss vs gold.

I prefer silver tones in watches, belt buckles, etc., but it is really up to your personal preference.

Love the black dial RG on strap ! Bracelet is too much and blingy for my tastes...and would be laughed out of my office as well since I work in a relatively conservative environment

Yes, the AP bracelet is a work of art and should be worn carefully to best protect its beauty, so best to have other watches too.

Have a number of other rose gold watches (FPJ, ALS, Rolex, IWC and Patek). Am of an age where I can wear them without raising eyebrows (unfortunately). Just wondering if I want to switch my AP.
