Speedy Pro Accuracy

I will preface this with saying, I don’t think anything is wrong with my watch. I’m not considering sending it off for service. This is pure curiosity. How accurate is your Speedy? I’m currently at +7 a day and absolutely satisfied, thus far.

Mine gains a few seconds/day when I wear it and then rest it crown-up overnight, and it loses a few seconds/day when I wear it and then rest it dial-up overnight. I find this quite handy for controlling accuracy.

Speedmaster threads should have gratuitous photos, so... :-)

Thanks, for the response. I love the leather strap!

That’s about what mine is as well, which is just a hair over COSC.

Even though the sapphire sandwich isn’t chronometer certified, mine runs within COSC.
Maybe Omega regulates them internally considering this is one of their flagship models.

Hello all. I've had mine since 1999. For 16 years it ran +2 sec a day. I could pull out the crown and with slight reverse wind could stop (hack) the seconds back any day. I got a full service from Omega (Culver City) and the chrono stopped working first try. Sent it back. Then the large second hand would not reset to zero, slightly off. Then every time I used it, it would get further off center to like 7 seconds off of zero reset. So it went back to tighten the second hand. It ran +10 seconds a day. Also I could not stop the seconds hand with reverse pressure on the pulled out crown. I waited towards the end of the 2 year warranty and went to the watch shop to see if Omega would regulate it. They said it had a HIGH amplitude and should send it back to Omega under the warranty. Omega had it for weeks before getting it back to me. Still runs +10 sec a day for 3 years now. End of story.

I had a Grey Side and it ran +2 seconds a day. I tried different positions overnight, crown up etc but it had no apparent effect on the timing.

Majority of mine run between +2 and +6

1 of them runs flat or maybe -1 during the day. Sadly looses another -2 overnight. Been like that since new.

There is totally different movement in your watch: co-axial, COSC - regulated etc.

The thread is about manual Speedy Pro.
