Would love the annual calendar function added to a DD40.

From Rolex Passion Report's previous Basel predictions:

There's been ample documentation to show it's not, despite what Rolex claims. Members have taken pictures using digital calipers that clearly show the case diameter is around 39.5mm. There's a thread around here somewhere with them.

I agree completely, something in between 36mm and 41 would be outstanding. Even my 39mm OP wears too big (the case is more in line with a 41 or 42 mm)

Thinking totally outside of the box...

Would they dare put out a new YG Submariner with a fluted bezel, and a new movement on an Oysterflex bracelet?

Maybe it will be a completely new watch, but basically it looks like what I just described: YG, fluted bezel, Submariner dial on an Oysterflex bracelet. Seems like it would overlap with the YM, but I guess we will find out soon enough.

Try the DJ36 or Daydate 36.

What’s the point of a dive watch with a fluted bezel?

Looks like a filler year for Rolex, I’d be surprised to see any “must have” releases. There’s hope for a SS YM2 on OF

one thing is looking certain thought, Rolex Passion report predictions looking way off again. He should just shut down his instagram account, all he does is make more than 10 predictions, and when one comes true, he would stop talking about the 9 other mistakes he made. It is so easy for anyone to get 1 right if you make that many predictions.

I unfollowed his account, clearly not a good source for anything related to rolex, just a phony.

They might not use the Submariner name, but I clearly see the following:
  • YG case and hands,
  • Fluted Bezel,
  • Submariner dial, and
  • I'm guessing Oysterflex bracelet simply because there is no obvious bracelet in the video.
I suppose it could be a new YM 40. Either way, I think I'd prefer the existing 40mm Everose gold YM over what I'm seeing.

If it turns out to be a new Sub with a fluted bezel, the internet is going to blow up.

Which would fit the updated yachtmaster narrative.

Like the TRF was saying, it’s probably 2 different watches. A fluted sub would sink like the titanic.

I get 41mm measuring the case from 10 o’clock to 4 o’clock (2 to 8 if you prefer). 42.3mm from 9 o’clock including crown. 39.2mm fluted bezel diameter. 47.3mm lug to lug. Will gladly share photos to anyone interested.

116610ln bezel measures 40mm exactly. Strange and interesting at the same time.

On the 116610LN, I get exactly 40mm on the bezel. but I get 41mm when I measure across the case from 10 to 4, excluding crown guards, but including the flare at the bottom edge of the case. I've tried it multiple times over the years, just to see if I've screwed something up. I get 41mm every time.

When I have a moment, I'll see if I can dig up that DJ41 thread, unless someone beats me to it.

A Sub with a fluted bezel. That’s some funny shit. Maybe for 2020 they can release a Day Date with a unidirectional dive bezel.

We’ve hit delirium. Every possible combination of Rolex has been discovered. Yes, it’s officially hilarious.

Gold case, fluted bezel, sport dial, mercedes hands, maybe an OF bracelet... I'm stumped. It is almost as if Rolex doesn't have enough parts left to make any watches and they threw this thing together with whatever was left knowing we are all so desperate we'd buy anything.

But being a PM it is not a watch I'll be buying. In less than 2 days we'll know, until then I'm stumped.

That's interesting in design for sure. I would guess they need to keep the timing bezel to still be a Submariner, but could be a surprise.

I wonder what it could be. Another outside the box idea could be a non-professional GMT....a Pilot's GMT with fluted bezel to slot right below the Day Date
