I think He's the best Bond to date.

I'm not so sure he's motivated by money anymore, he's made enough already and doesn't need to keep playing the role if he feels he's done with it.

The script of Spectre was terrible. I'd bet this was a major contributor to his frustration. I lost a few brain cells while I was watching it

Well, he did say he would rather cut his wrist than do another. But, he also said "if I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money." So, 150 million is pretty much a good " for the money" figure in my book.

I'm guessing it is posturing saying I'm done. I know he can do more as far as acting but it sure is good business sense to tell them you're done so they up the offer.

I want more Daniel Craig as bond. Some of the scripts have been meh but I never felt craig left any meat on the bone.

I'll say this...if they move on good luck to the guy who has to fill Craig's shoes.

My vote would be Idris Elba.

He's a pretty big Rolex guy. He seemed pushed to become an Omega ambassador because a character he plays wears one, because of an advertising deal. It sounds silly but being obligated to be a brand ambassador for a brand you don't particularly care for might have an influence on him leaving the role too.

I liked Spectre for the first 30-45 minutes. The back story on why the bad guy became the bad guy was amateurish at best. Seemed like Bond was copying Austin Powers rather than the other way round.

Read an article this morning suggesting the two films would be filmed, one right after the other, and that Craig was paid something in the neighborhood of $65 million for Spectre.

Not a bad little neighborhood.

Omega, Sony, Heineken, Aston Martin, Tom Ford... and I'm probably missing a few. The whole movie felt like a bit of a marketing vehicle

Why would any serious artist like Craig do two more mediocre movies when he's already worth what they are offering.
Time to pass the baton.

I would like to see him in a couple of more Bond movies. I believe he is the best Bond ever for the modern times and I will make the argument the best ever. While I enjoy the older Bond movies they are almost so outdated to be funny with the special effects. Classics all, but very much a once every few years watch.

Craig is great as Bond.
Only fault with modern Bond movies is that he is not wearing a no date sub!!

You could bring him back as the PM or something perhaps. Maybe Bond's long lost grandfather.

Don't like Craig as Bond but if he doesn't need the money he could do it and donate all to charity tax free. Should get him a Knighthhood at least ;)

X2 on this one.

He is under contract for one more bond film. For some reason all of the media keeps leaving that part out.

Besides 007, Craig has not had much other on screen success. This is important to keep in mind. None of his other films have been box office hits.

Michael Wilson said at the SPECTRE premier in London that they had no contract with DC for another but were "confident". So presume it was simply optional for DC if he wishes to do another but he is not obligated.

They said that before Skyfall, I cant see it happening.

This is a good article explaining why the recent 150 million rumour is most likely rubbish! Simply because Sony currently has nothing to do with Bond at the moment since their deal expired therefore makes little sense.

Everything I have seen shows he signed a contract for a total of 5 Bond films

Well this came from Michael Wilson of EON on live TV during the Premier with Babs next to him

Will try find a link

Edit: Here it is, Wilson confirming he has no contract for another with Daniel Craig (my mistake wasn't the actual Premier but in October during SPECTRE promos)

Craig was a producer on Spectre, first Bond ever to have this credit. So he should of had a say in the script if he thought it was bad.
