Datejust Dial Options

I'm considering a Datejust to compliment my Sub-C. I was thinking Stainless or TT yellow, it must have Jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel, but the dial options are very limited, prefer stick/baton markers. I think I like the understated elegance of the stainless, while I do like the TT, it may be a little too flashy, maybe.

Where are the dial options ?

I believe you are looking at a 116233 or 116234

I bought the SS DJ with fluted bezel and silver baton dial on the super jubilee. I loved this combo. The blue and black dials were lovely too but the silver made it appear very sophisticated and in keeping for its recipient which was my dad.

I only have 1 grab shot when he first put it on and it hasn't come off since.

I do love this combo.

I bought a dj2 this time in TT as I think it looks nicer on the oyster compared to the TT jubilee.

The dial I went for in the dj2 is a slate/green with fluted bezel case. Again to me this was one of the best combos. However the dj2 looks stunning with blue dials in SS.

I do prefer the size of the dj2 too.

Again this dj2 was for my wife but I love it too.

Best to go and try some on as dial options are very personal and I like the more colourful options for my own wrist.

Very nice choice.

I'm heading over to the AD next week, need to look at them in person and also check out the DJ2, I just like to do my research so I don't walk in uninformed.

I forgot about the Arabic blue I do love this too and quite rare. It's almost ice blue a little like what they do with the platinum DD. Although more purple on the DJ if I remeber right.

I think there's a huge DJ owners thread here that might help.

You didn't mention any preference for Roman numerals, but I never considered them until I saw this in the AD's case. This rhodium is different than silver, best viewed side by side in person. Since you'll be there, it's worth consideration.

On a DJ, the silver dial looks incredible with the SS bands, both jubilee and oyster. The fluted bezel is a must on a DJ in my opinion.

My SS DJ with oyster band has the silver stick dial, it gets a lot of compliments.

Nice!! Love that texture on the dial, wish they would've kept that on the DJII!

My favorite. This simple elegant TT DJ is to me what I think of when I think Rolex. The Classic Example. Dress or dress down, it's perfect.

I was at the AD today, the Datjust is a beautiful watch but ...... it seems the Datjust II is the way to go, it doesn't wear too big at all, in fact it feels just right, I was surprised. Now that I have the model squared away, I have to think about dial options.

I just wish the Datjust II was offered with a Jubilee bracelet, maybe it will show at Basel next month, I doubt it, just don't understand the marketing logic in not having a Jubilee.

Now.....what dial do I get ?

My first was my sub, then a year later I wanted something that was a little more dressy but not too flashy, so I chose a blue dial Datejust II. I'm very happy with both!

I tried on several models, yours was one of them along with the Diamond dial and stick dial, they are all outstanding, one thing for sure it must have the fluted bezel, I was hoping that just "one" would sing to me, no chance ... it was a choir !!!!
