I'm in the minority
Recently flipped my sunburst 116613 for the diamond dial, flat/smurf dial 116613.
I know that this debate has been beaten to death on here, but my problem w the sunburst dial is that everywhere other than outside in direct sunlight, the dial gets very dark-almost black at times. On the other hand, the smurf dial always displays a true, royal blue color, regardless of lighting. Here are a few pics: |

I agree. The flat blue is better IMO. Then again, I like flat colors on all my dials

I see your point and the smurf dial does seem to displays a true, royal blue color, regardless of lighting. Congratz on getting what you wanted!

Thanks. The sunburst is great and is waaaay more popular and demanded, but I got turned off with the sometimes very dark (almost black) dial.

Tim, is that you? Lol.
I prefer the flat blue as well and the fact that it is discontinued only makes it more desirable in my mind. Great trade! |

I love the sunburst dial, but as a former flat blue dial owner on both the two tone and WG Subs, I have to say I'm a little more partial to the flat.

The High Gloss Smurf Blue dial looks far better on the Ceramic IMHO. They should never have changed it back to the past.
The sunburst looks good with the old school aluminum bezel but that's about it. |

I prefer this dial over the sunburst too... Matches the bezel better.

Congrats!! Looks great on your wrist. And I too am in the minority and prefer the flat blue over he sunburst blue.
The sunburst dial is an interesting dial color, but in my opinion nothing says blue like that the flat blue dial whether on the smurf or the bluesy. Enjoy!!

Beautiful dial on that watch. I'd make that trade too. Enjoy it!
