1st rolex bought last night
First post, First Rolex. More of both sure to come.

After looking for a while, I went in expecting to buy a DSSD, but decided it sat too high. It came down to the Daytona in steel/yellow gold vs the subc in steel/yellow gold. Due to the lack of date on the Daytona, I went with the subc...I couldn't be happier.

Great first choice. Did you not like the blue version? I would have a hard time deciding between this and the 2 tone daytona. Wear it in good health!

Looks great. Are the hands and hour marker surrounds yellow gold color? Hard to tell from the pic.

You should return it immediately.

Congrats! Can't go wrong with a sub. Also, the black on two tone is a version you do not see often at all on these forums. Most tend to go with the blue.

I called my AD this morning, the haven't "officially" heard of the warranty extension yet, although they said I was the second person to call today about that. He said he was confident that they and Rolex would "make it right". He said a return couldn't be done because it was already registered in the system with my purchase date.

I considered the blue, but I liked the black better, plus I'm a huge Pittsburgh Steeler fan, so you can't go wrong with black and gold I'm not too worried about the popular choice or better retail on my first watch, because I'm not ever planning on selling it. This will be passed down to my son and (hopefully) future generations.

My choice was confirmed when trying the daytona on and my wife asked me something that required me to check the date ( I think she did it on purpose...smart lady)...it wasn't there and it would drive me nuts not having it.
