Rolex Unveiling on the 21st - not 22nd...

If you go to rolex.com, they clearly show that the sneak peak video item will be unveiled on March 21st. That's a day sooner than the opening of the Baselworld Fair. I overlooked the unveiling date part previously. Just wanted to point it out for others who may have overlooked the 21st as being the unveiling date... from the horse's mouth... Rolex itself.

That's interesting. One early unveil?

The 21st is for Presser - IIRC, in the past they released embargoed stories/pictures but have now abandoned that. Recently it has been the day before the show and Katy bar the door since immediate release is on top of all the handouts...

Last year Rolex released several teasers of different watches - this year only the one so far.
Do you think that means there will only be one new watch released this year?

Patek Phillipe has already started releasing there new models. For all intents Rolex could start at any time now.

The never thought it was the 22nd.
From all I’ve seen the 21st was advertised as
the unveiling!

This is the press conference just before Baselworld opens. Nothing related to Rolex. They talk about market in general.

I don't know when exactly we will start to have some news from Rolex... Maybe afternoon

According to their Instagram and Facebook page, Tudor is unveiling on 21 March. I guess, Rolex will do their bit on the same day.

Yes it's usually very boring but interesting to see/spot how many you recognize in the audience.

The early unveiling is for Jocke’s eyes only. It gives him extra time to compile his report. Lol.

I don't get it. Are you telling me Team Hodinkee, one of the biggest team of watch journalists on the ground covering Baselworld 2018 will be late for the event? Team Hodinkee is expected to arrive in Switzerland on Tuesday morning. According to the programme, they will be reporting live on air in real time and coverage starts in the bright and early Wednesday morning.
Highly unlikely Team Hodinkee is going to be a " little late" if the Rolex show kicks off on Tuesday. I'm expecting the Tudor Dinner event for the VIP guests and watch journalists at a secret location on Tuesday night and the unveiling of Tudor's latest collection. The idea is avoid clashes and allow Rolex to bask in the limelight the next day

Not telling you anything you may have not known already...
All I’m saying is, I was under the impression that the
unveiling was Wednesday 3/21/2018 from all the HYPE
I’ve heard and seen, that’s all !!!
Hopefully Hodinkee won’t be late to the
party ...

Perhaps an excuse to order a Day-Date...
