Hello Everyone! - New Member Wants to Say Thanks for a Great Community!
Hello all,
I've been an on/off lurker for awhile but only a recent new member. Reason I finally joined is because I believe I am getting close to finally purchasing my first Rolex. I was really interested in the brand back in the 80's, looked at all the models and was real familiar with the current line at the time. However, I was nowhere near in any position to actually buy one back then. I've always wanted a Rolex, have looked on and off now and then.....but I think I'm finally getting more serious now. I think I'm going to actually buy one in the very near future. I have been browsing the forums like never before and have been spending a lot of time here lately. Lots of good advice, info and great pictures of different models which are making me drool! Haha! Looking at all these different watches makes it a bit tough for me to decide on which one I will go for though. My dream would be an 18K GMT II with the green 50th Anniversary dial, or an 18K Submariner with the blue dial and bezel. However, more realistically, I have been looking at the Explorer II Polar or maybe a brand new Air King 116900. I am also thinking of spending a bit more and maybe going for a GMT II BLNR. I figured that I will probably keep this watch for a good long time, so the additional money will be well spent for something I really like. I've been learning a lot on this forum so far. This is a great community with some very knowledgeable and helpful people. I look forward to someday posting up pics of my new Rolex! |
