Help on finding info on Vintage 5513 Box
I feel bad needing to ask for help again, I did try a search on this forum and on google before asking. I was over at my Daughters house tonight for my Belated Birthday dinner, and the gift she gave me was a Rolex box she bought of Ebay for my 1967 5513 submariner that just came back from ABC Friday, that story is already on another thread. I have no clue if it's even close to being the right box for the watch, but that does not matter it is a great gift anyway. If anyone knows about boxes, or of a post or article I could go to for the information?
Thanks Again SAM_0246.jpg SAM_0249.jpg SAM_0250.jpg SAM_0251.jpg |

That is an amazing gesture from a daughter who obviously knows what her dad likes.... Looks to be a 70's Rolex box, but I am open to correction. Either way it makes a great match to your Sub.

I dont suppose it has a small white price tag type sticker on the side that says 5513 does it.
I have seen some that have. |

No other markings, even pulled the center part out, nothing. I started out thinking this will be an easy search, with the collectability of anything Rolex there would be hundreds of articles on the subject. I guess it really doesn't matter because what ever the box was, it is now the box for her Great Grandfathers Rolex.
Thanks for the replies |

I've seen a box reference table (or link to one) posted here somewhere. If memory serves me it had the box reference number (68.00.2 in your case) along with the years it was used and which watch references used it.
I wish I could provide more help but maybe the original poster of the reference will see this and reply. good luck and you have a very thoughtful daughter to buy that for you! :)
