116610LN - Authenticity check

I'm looking at possibly buying this 116610 but the date isn't centered? The seller said it was purchased in 2017 and comes as a full kit IE: boxes, warranty card, hang tags etc.

Is this authentic?

this is tough. the date isnt centered vertically. the rehaut is misaligned just look at the 12 oclock crown.

perhaps the dial is off a bit and that is causing both those issues.

but even with this i cant confirm. you need to see the movement. who is the seller?

Some coin shop in Nevada. I didn't even noticed the rehaut not aligned, good catch, thanks!

I'm definitely going to pass. There's too many 116610s for sale out there to even be concerned.

I'm really looking for a 16613LN - V serial. I've sold watches to DavidSW and bought one from Patrick (ocrolexguy) a few years back. I put the word out to both of them and Takuya as well but in the mean time I was thinking of picking up a 116610 too.

I was just on eBay pricing them out. Guess I'll do the email rounds again. :)

Thanks again for your help!

Tried him too. I heard back from him today but he only found a blue dial.

I had a fairly new member (I'm pretty sure he sells under a company on eBay in NY) offer to sell me one for $10,500 this afternoon. How nice of him. I told him how absurd his price was, especially since I just recently purchased a 116610LN for $10,4xx.

Some of the prices on eBay are flat our ridiculous! Hopefully one of the trusted members here can source one for me.

Just so you know, there are plenty of authentic Rolexes out there with slightly off-centered rehauts. I wouldn't be passing on a deal on this purely alone. I also think your photo was slightly slanted as well which could be the reason the date looks a little less centered. BUT!! End of the day, buy the seller then the watch.

116610LN - Authenticity check

You should be able to find one from a great seller that you don’t have to question at all. Keep looking! This one is likely fine, could be a weird angle, rehauts are off centered occasionally but why risk it.

I let him know and received this reply;

"Rich:
It might be the position of the pictures. We have been selling watches for 35 years and sell approximately 300 per month. We authenticate each and every one prior to purchasing them. Additionally, we provide a 30 day money back guarantee in the event our customer wants to have it authenticated by another authorized Rolex dealer. We are well aware of the counterfeits and we catch quite a few every week.

Thank you for bringing it to our attention and good luck in your search.

Maybe it's authentic but again, there's too many 116610s out there to even have a concern about authenticity.

If he is so sure and selling so many - why no movement photo.
I always post 3 or 4 movement phtos.

That rehaut is WAY out in a few places.

Act with caution

Scary. I will continue to always be sceptical of any SubC. Sad really. For what it's worth the watch looks good besides the obvious dial rotation. Which shouldn't happen. Possible factory flaw? I wouldn't be happy.
