While the 5960/1A is a stunning time piece, it's a little bit too shiny for my taste. It has an amazing mass of polished surfaces, much like certain Breitlings for example :) If it's your kind of thing, then go for it. Otherwise, the less elegant, more sporty, less shiny design of the 5726 is the winner.

I don't like the all polished bracelet on the new 5960.
Hold out for the 5990! |

5960. Chrono is more useful to me than an annual calendar. Maybe consider the 5980 as well?

Actually i like the 5980 white dial steel because the gold is just out of my budget. but my ad tells me its been discontinued. Too bad just when i was ready to buy now need to reconsider my options.

5726, that steel 5960 should have a leather strap.

The ss chrono is a piece of work! I'd love it as my daily wearer. It's like a PP Daytona! :)

5960
Just my opinion as a novice to high end watches like PP.
I like everything about the 5960. The size, color, the shiny stainless bracelet, the dial, and the complications presented on the dial. I appreciated that it does not look so many other Patek watches on leather. Also, I have never really got my head around the case shape of the 57xx series watches on metal bracelets. So yes, one day when I am ready to spend 50k on a watch, I may add this one to my collection....

Exactly my thoughts, having seen a dummy model of the 5960 in steel, I was even more convinced that it should be on a strap.
