Tough decision or is it?
Got the call from my AD for the BLNR since he asked me if I wanted to be put on the list back in April. Finally got the call today but on the fence if I should get it since I have other financial obligations. It’s a watch I really want, I already have a Sub 116610 and a 2 tone date just along with a panerai 104 and a speedy moonwatch. The compromise would be buying a less expensive car to kinda make up the difference in price. Just wanted thoughts. Thanks for listening. Yah I know, 1st world problem.

I’d take it and sell the Panerai.

Your car will lose that value as soon as you drive off the new car lot. Get the same car, but get a certified pre-owned. And get the watch.

Obviously it is a hesitation over either a more expensive car or a less expensive one and a BLNR. I don’t know which cars are you hesitating over but in the range difference between a car plus and/or minus BLNR there are plenty of good choices. Additionally BLNR is an awesome combo and love at first sight watch and last but not least in 10 years car you bought today will cost practically zero, while your BLNR might have tripled in value. So no place to choose! It is a BLNR and a car!

What are you even thinking about? Just buy it, and if you have to sell some watches, do. Get the car you want to get.

If you want the watch - you could sell the Panerai or the speedy. Either of those shouldn't really be that difficult to add back whenever you have the funds. Prices on those would be relatively stable as well I'd imagine.

If you pass on the BLNR, who knows when you will get offered one again. Whereas the car will still be available at your dealer. Get the BLNR now, take your time to sell the PAM and/or speedy to fund the car.

Buying cars are a mugs game and probably the quickest way to shrink your money.Total ripoff from the word go,lying salesman, ripoff finance, repairs and then you get shafted when you sell the vehicle.
A Rolex like the batman will hold that value, will give you enjoyment, possibly appreciate and easy to sell if need be. A no brainier.... |

You can be honest with an ad but they always asume you’re a messer if you dont follow through. For what its worth id say it better money spent than on a motor. Of course if you are passionate about cars and accept that youll lose money thats ok too.......im somebody that had ‘wasted’ a fortune on cars in the past...now i drive a reasonably price van everywhere and im so much happier....dont worry about it in car parks etc.. My partner has a new bmw and whilst im insured to drive it ive no interest in using it and in the 2 years shes had it ive driven it once......years ago id have been all over it. Only you can decide but you better hurry up...good luck and if i was you id accept it as fate as the blnr is difficult to get....the ad obviously sees something in you....to that end dont buy it to flip either unless you dont want another watch from them ever

You sit in your car 2 hours per day? Your watch gives you much more quality time

Sell the Panerai and the Speedy, get the BLNR. The Pan and Speedy can be obtained later on if you still want.

Don't listen to these people brother. As nice as the batgirl is, if you cannot afford it, then don't buy it.
Hey I'd love a Ferrari, but it wouldn't make financial sense for me to buy one. |

Fiances should be priority. Pass for now, get everything taken care of and ask your AD to move you to a later slot. These watches will be available for a long time.

I've thought about selling my 911 to buy all the watches I might want. Then I took it out for a drive. That settled things.

car has different financing programs and unless it's a rare sports car, you can almost buy it at any other time. But BLNR comes by chances, i say get the watch!
