Cartier Roadster XL Chrono: different Ref

Looking at 2 models and was wondering if you guys know the differences between the Cartier Roadster XL Chronograph:

1. W62006X6

Is this version with the dial that has the Tachymeter is circular lines and older version circa early 2000?

2. W62019X6

Is this version with dial that has no Tachymeter? Late 2000?

I am aware of the S model without the Date Magnifier and screws, but can’t seem to figure out the 2 refs. I also see the 2006X6 is slightly cheaper generally over the 2019X6 and some sellers stating the dial with Tachymeter with the 2019X6 ref no. which confused me.

I assumed both are running the ETA2892, so older model might have to service/change the chrono module I gather.

Btw, which dial does people preferred?

I had the same problem, when I was choosing between the two, I really liked the 2nd choice, because the dial is not so busy with all the numbers on it. Good luck with your choice,

Sweet piece. I am also drawn with the 2nd one as I like the bigger less squashed hour marks for legibility and the more natural line around the elongated pillow shape than circular lines of the dial.

The 1st one was only made for 1 year and people complained about it being too busy. The watch was revised with the second version, much classier look, and was the only style face offered until it was discontinued about 5 years ago aprox.

It's the perfect drivers watch. I've had for over 10 years and no issues.

Ok, I'll spill the secret... You can change the band out in less than 5 seconds. One watch that can give you any look you want.

Stainless steel band for anytime almost:

Black nylon band for sportier look:

Brown leather band for classier affairs:

Red alligator band to really change things up:

The watch comes included with 3 bands when you buy it.

This is one of my dream watches- especially if I could score one with an extra band (three bands would be the jackpot!). Absolutely stunning! Hope to own one just like this one.
