Rec for selling in NYC Diamond District

Hi all,

I’m considering selling a piece and would like to do it in person, so I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for a store in the NYC diamond district that they have experience selling to. I guess if you know other dealers in NYC that you recommend, I’d appreciate that too.

I will obviously do my own research before I visit but would love some recommendations as a starting point.

Thank you.

Hi,

I have no experience in selling watches, but I can imagine that you will get a lower offer in the diamond district or with a professional seller vs a private person.

Thanks for the response. I’m sure that’s true. I wonder how large the price difference is on average.

Definitely a lower price, but certainty of sale, in a shorter timeframe, no time wasters, no risk of being scammed... Those are all worth something.

There will be people with first hand experience here soon but I have always used the trusted sellers here rather than diamond district despite living in NYC for close to 4 years. Ask a few for a price and if you agree a deal they usually include a shipping label.

Check recent sales and watchrecon so you know the current sales prices. Then you’ll know whether it’s worth it when they make you an offer
