Same here. Will be sending it to him just trying to figure best way to ship(USPS , ups, fed ex or whatever) and lo how much insurance to buy since it is a 18KT/SS jubilee bracelet. The Rolex AD said to replace the bracelet by them would be $3500. So should I insure it for $3500? Response by others on this would be appreciated. Here is a picture of mine that will be shipped to him.

I said I would update you as regards my Rolex Bracelet which I sent to Michael Young in Hong Kong Well I received my bracelet in the mail from FedEx this morning I am very impressed with the result as it was and is a very old bracelet. I will try and post pictures this took about 6 weeks from door to door and I was kept informed at all times so I have no complaints Kind regards Walter Wharton |

As the quality of work seems to be excellent and MK is a reputable contact I'm also considering sending in my watch band for restauration, I was wondering if his delivery time is still between 6 and 8 weeks.

Hello all .. I am in Mandeville La. (30 miles north of New Orleans) and tomorrow I am sending my President band to MY and like most I am nervous about shipping roughly 70 grams of 18k gold across the globe, but I hate looking at my stretched band more...lol
Cannot wait to post my own glowing review upon it's return.. |

I sent two bracelets to Michael Young in April. I still don't have them back.

Michael Young Bracelet Restoration
I just got my 3 SS model bracelets back...He charged $120 each plus $28 to ship them back, he included 8 spring bars and the entire process took a month in total with numerous emails back and forth with no problems whatsoever

I sent my 14k jubilee off my heirloom 1503 (my grandfather gave me his watch a few weeks ago). It is a little stretched so I'm anxious to see what MK can do with it. He confirmed receipt of it on Monday so the clock has started. He estimated 2-3 months. He has his work cut out for him!

that's a lot of stretch. Overall, it looks like a great piece. I can't wait to see it when repaired.

First email was in April saying it was received. Next was in August when I asked what was up, which was responded to 2 days later saying that one was finished and the other was being worked on. I sent an email 10/22 to ask what was going on with the other one, which was not responded to. Just resent that one.

UPDATE: Michael apparently had difficulty with my email being put in his spam folder. I hate spam....
Received the TT Yachtmaster bracelet today. It's really nice! Fabulous work. I'm afraid to put it on the watch because I might scratch it :-) One more out there. It's a folded link from about 1960 or so. Apparently it needs laser welding and will take more time. That's fine with me since I know. Thank you Mr. Young!

I sent my 78360 to MY in September, and received it back in excellent condition in November. These pics show the extent of the stretch before and after. Very happy with the work!

The unofficial Rolex Band Restoration Manual
Well this post did it for me, I bought a brand new 93250 SEL band about a year ago and haven't put it on my 16610 as of yet, but after my visit to Rikki D on Dec. 3rd I'm going to have him put my new one on and replace my crystal and then I'm going to ship my original 93250 band to Hong Kong. To many good reviews and results not to, especially keeping in mind how good of shape my original is In still, I expect it'll look just as new as my new one. Thanks for the great update to this thread. It just made my mind up for me. Gotta love TRF !!!!

Michael Young did fantastic work on my father's TT DJ jubilee band. I sent Michael his band on Nov 8th and we just got it yesterday (Nov 29th). My father says he hadn't seen his band this tight in 30 years! And the price.... Getting a new band would have been 10x the price of Michael's restoration. Bravo Michael! Thank you TRF for introducing me to this service.

Two years ago I sent MichaelYoung 2 bracelets, one was a rivet for my vintage Bond sub worth 1000-1500USD. According to MY the package had been cut open and robbed at the Hong Kong Post office.
Since the package wasnīt lost, simply robbed/emptied, the recipient (MY) had to file a claim for the insurance, never done, and I lost my 2 bracelets and couldnīt get an insurance claim. I lost a lot of money sending bracelets to you, sorry but never ever doing that again. |

Hello Michael, since we all love our watches and love to keep them looking good we really appreciate your work in progress pics. Any chance of seeing a Gold President bracelet being reworked? I am curious to see what the center links look like when they are worn.
TIA, Jim |

I've read many excellent reviews of Michael's work, and had a good experience myself, but it still seems like a heck of a risk though. If I do this a second time, I think I'll be even more nervous knowing what I know now. |
