Your favourite complication and why?

And any interesting facts about the complication would also be great...here to learn...

My knowledge is limited but my favourite is the chronograph, probably a bit boring and obvious but I like them just because of the look it gives to watches mainly the 3,6,9 sundial layout.

I like and have a perpetual calendar but hardly ever get to wear it.

Check out the link below, probably the most complicated time only watch ever.

No brainer in terms of usefulness : the date!
I use it more than any other complication.

In terms of wow effect, I like the aesthetic of a moon phase.

My favourite is the GMT complication.

A truly useful, timekeeping function in my daily toolbag

As a very practical person, for me it’s
1. Date . Day and date even better . If i only had one watch, would be PC for same reasons
2. Timing bezel , or since that’s not really a complication, chronograph.

I love the Minute Repeater and think it’s the coolest complication. The Perpetual Calendar runs it very close.

The watch of choice for this complication for me would be the Patrimony Contemporaine Ultra-Thin Calibre 1731.

If I went Perpetual, it’s the Patek 5270P.

I am wowed by both of these complications.

I have bought and been interested in more chronos than anything else so I guess it would be that, and for a GC it would then be a PCC.

GMT. Its not the trips where you're just outside of your timezone (we can all add/subtract 3 hours) but its the 3+ trips I do to the US each year where its really useful to me.

Okay, on second thought I will change mine to an alarm. If I could afford it, a minute repeater.

Perpetual calendar, chronograph, moon phase, flyback.
Although not complications but quite handy: water resistance, luminescence.
All in one watch.

Favorite complication for a mechanical watch is an alarm. It’s super useful for reminding.

by order of preference: Date, GMT, Power Reserve.

Date is I guess the most useful feature, but with seemingly like 75% of watches theses days with it, it's becoming pretty much "standard". I might as well say a running seconds hand is my favorite complication.

GMT working for a company in a different timezone, and traveling abroad maybe once a year, I like to have a GMT, even if I have to admit, it's mostly because the 4th hand looks cool.

Power reserve, I just need to give a shout out to a complication that is somewhat polarizing. I'll admit, it's very often not done very well. I just like having one, it's fun to see it go up through the day, or knowing how much longer it will run if leaving on the nightstand.

My favorite complication is definitely the chronograph because it's useful to me and is visually interesting, both front and back, especially when it's manual wind. I also like the looks of a moonphase and, of course, a minute repeater is both nice to hear and see operate and could be useful but at $250,000+ for a Patek, they're outside of my price range.

While I tend to wear dive watches I had never actually used the bezel until recently when my phone died on me at the gym and I used my SKX007's dive bezel to time my 5min breaks between lifting sets. Since then this has been my favorite complication. Aesthetically it has to be the moonphase, which I do not own yet.

My favorite complication is the almost universal seconds hand. I need to see my watch moving and working.

A date complication is nice but not very important to me.

The least important complication to me is an annual calendar. I can appreciate the craftsmanship to make this but personally find it useless in real life.

I love the chrono complication because it looks cool and allows me to interact with the watch, but actually find a timing bezel to be more useful.

Date is pretty much mandatory for me followed by Chrono which I find useful.

Moonphase, Power Reserve, AC, PC, and Worldtime I consider luxury in the sense that I don't need the function but may be interested for aesthetic reasons depending on the specific design.

GMT / Travel Time I don't care for at all.
