Sweet Yes, the SM300MC looks GREAT on NATO... I may take the plunge and order the NATO for a nice change...

The only drawback of the sm300mc for me was the way the bracelet hangs off the lugs when i wear it. Almost like a waterfall effect. Makes the shape boxy on my wrist. My wrist is 7.25” rounded. The NATO strap cleans that up nicely. Copied ur pic to show the area I m talking about.

This is such a beautiful watch. I purchased mine for the aesthetics and history, as well as the capability (we’ll see how far Daniels’s co-axial escapement puts Omega back to its pre-quarts dark age status). And, unlike the most accurate remake of the 1957, the “trilogy” piece, the 300MC meets iso specs with the unidirectional rotating bezel. Love the attention to detail even to the extent the anti reflective coating is only on the inside of the crystal. Alas, I no longer have mine as it didn’t quite do it for me while it was in my possession, but considering how much I miss it, it may very well be the next piece in my collection, barring my getting a fifty fathoms first!!

You have a fantastic collection! I love what you have done with your signature, haven't seen many turn it into a visual representation of their collections.
I have the Spectre version and it certainly is a fantastic piece. The standard version is definitely better value for money but the Spectre is quite unique. |

My sig. has both links to my "pictorials" and for my watches without threads (yet), photos. As for your Spectre, my buddy has one and I love it - congrats on an awesome reference Thanks Agree - the SM300MC is just awesome

Really great review. I can’t believe I missed this. I got mine at the beginning of the year and also love it. Mine came on OEM Bond Nato but I’m considering buying a black leather deployant or bracelet to smarten it up as a a semi-dress watch, having a vintage Speedmaster and Pam233.
People have complained about the braclelet and endlinks overhanging wrist, you clearly don’t think so. What do you prefer?

I'm sorry to say I haven't given it a try (yet) on anything but the OEM bracelet. I have given NATO a lot of thought because the OEM bracelet does dress it up and although that's how the original was, I'd like to give a bit more of a tool-watch look and NATO will do a great job of that

Short answer: Absolutely.
Long answer: I find the bracelet is as comfortable as any other contemporary SS bracelet - meaning I occasionally find it starts to make its presence felt as the day wears on. To me, It doesn't feel all that different from say, the Speedmaster's (contemporary) bracelet. The quick-setting micro-adjustment is awesome. I'm not usually walking around with a pin etc to be able to take immediate advantage of the classic micro-adj system and if your'e outdoors and the springbar goes flying... But as you noted, other owners don't like the bracelet / end-link / lugs combo and so it's clear to me that before shelling out a small fortune for the bracelet, you need to get to an AD / OB and try one on This is still a popular production reference so you're bound to come across one assuming you have access to a couple of ADs.

Love the seamaster 300. Does everyone else wear it primarily on a NATO? The stainless band is great but I feel the NATO really emphasizes the uniqueness of the bezel and dial.
