Platinum Daytona Vs SS/TT Daytona

Ok so I mentioned this in my other thread aswell, but since the topic of discussion was something else, it didn't get much attention.

Is there any one else out there who feels the platinum Daytona feels bigger on the wrist than the TT and SS version or is it just me? Maybe it's the colour combination.. I don't know.

But what got me curious is that some people mentioned that the platinum Daytona might be bigger/wider than its TT & SS counterparts. Can someone shed some light on this?

The White gold, rose gold and platinum are around 1mm bigger cases. It's actually down the crown side. The SS, TT and yellow gold taper into the case.

Don't know about physical properties, but the ceramic bezel may give the appearance of a larger diameter. Just a thought.

No I mean the diameter across excluding crown, compare the 2 pics of a white gold (top) and SS (bottom), look at the extra bit of crown guard metal leading from the lugs

Maybe this will help you understand why it wears bigger (any PM Daytona vs. SS/TT)

White Gold (not my pic)

SS back

Good pictures, that's exactly what I was trying to show from the front. Good idea showing the backs

Yes the steel bezel sort of just fades away from the dial, whereas the ceramic makes it look larger, plus I believe the lugs are slightly wider and coupled with the obvious heft and the whole watch just feels bigger.
