S/S Sky-Dweller 2nd favourite colour dial and why?

It is my considered opinion that fans of Rolex watches, believe that the blue dial S/S Skydweller is the favourite - similar to the DJ 41.
It is also recognised that this particular configuration is extremely difficult to obtain.
But which is the 2nd favourite colour and why?
What made you choose one variation over the other?
Perhaps you prefer either light or dark coloured dial or that one is more easier to read.
I would be most interetesd in reading your thoughts, especially from members who have gone through the same thought process.
Of course, it goes without saying, that photos are a necessity of each thread, so please feel free to include some.

Black is my favorite color of the 3. I was offered each color and chose black as it was perfect IMHO. Blue would be my 2nd followed by white as 3rd. The black sunburst/sunray dial is incredible changing colors with each turn of the wrist. Also in black it is the sleekest or sportiest of the 3 as well. Either way all 3 colors are great in this metal so one can't really make a bad choice.

PS Tony I never buy a watch because others think it is a consensus first pick. I buy watches I like the most and in this case black easily won so your poll needs a 3rd option as neither black or white is my 2nd choice.

Ken, I hear what you are saying.
Black is usually my first choice, though I wanted to read what other members said.
Sounds like the black dial must be similar to the one used on the DJ 41 as that one also can look different under light.
Interestingly an AD told me that the blue on the Skydweller was lighter than the one on the DJ 41.
I did momentarily consider putting another option, but couldn’t come up with one, apart from blue!!

black is no second fiddle. Have yet to c the elusive blue though so I’m not fully informed. White suffers from, appears bigger syndrome, which doesn’t work for my svelte wrist

If straight black gloss, it'd be white for me... But the charcoal, sunburst dial in person was fantastic... Made me doubt my blue choice for a minute when I saw all 3 at a Rolex trunk show event with the prototypes.

Black > white > blue for me. The black is just so sharp, and I feel like there are better blues out there for me.

That all being said, they are all good. Just a matter of personal preference.

I just think the dial looks extreme busy with the white dial.

Black is the most beautiful and the classiest of the three imo, followed by blue then white.

I like the white because it's easiest to read. It also looks most like my WG SkD.

I was wondering the same thing.

Especially if the interest moves away from the Skydweller to one of the 2018 releases.

White is doing very well, esp against a sunburst black dial. Bodes well for a white PepC or CokeC if Rolex feel like it.

Is the black dial color the same as white gold vs stainless?

Ken, that is a stunning photo may be a clincher:thumbs:

The poll is showing quite an even match.

For those in the know does the white dial read more easily than the black or the other way round?

Lee,

You captured the blue dial well in this picture. I would say this is my favorite pic of a blue dial SkyD.

Thanks so much. The lighting worked out well. Fortunate to have caught perfect lighting from outside.

I managed to track down a bi-metal with the black dial. The dial looks superb and I love the way that the sunburst affects the way that it looks.
Oh decisions, decisions!!!!
