25 years old for an Oyster perpetual Date, they were about $1500. I loved it, then it needed maintenance and $500 was too rich for me, so I sold it. Missed it bad.

Replaced it in 2006 with a SS GMT II when I was 43. Acquired several more after that. Wearing my TT GMT II as we speak.

And to think I felt old at 43. Oh to be 43 again!

First one (TT bluesy) on the birth of my son at 35; second was the DSSD from my wife for my 50th birthday. I like having such fine watches connected to important milestones, as each time I look at them they are reminders of these events.
