Much prefer a Big Block than a Daytona any day. Great choice, well done!

No Daytona but close enough..for now!

Congrats, however, I just can't get into Tudor. I am not keen on the writing they put on some of their dials, I think it makes it look cheaper than the quality product it is (just my personal honest opinion of course)

I'm with Dan and many others. I had a gold Daytona for about a year and traded it. I have always enjoyed my big block.

I tend to agree, particularly if we're talking about the older Daytonas. The styling of the Big Blocks is similar enough, without it being a copy, and they're more useable in every day situations. You don't have to worry about damaging the Toyota Camry on your wrist, or constantly unscrewing the winding crown.

Here are my two Big Block Tudor chronos, which I consider "the real thing." I also have a Daytona, a vintage GMT, and a Tudor Sub--but the Big Blocks have been getting most of my wrist time since I purchased them.

What is the model number of the bracelet? Michael Young in Hong Kong might have a link, so I would check with him as well as Ebay. If the watch is a 79180 it should have a 9315 bracelet, and I think the solid links on those are the same as most Oysters. If the watch is an older 93xxx series (93200?) it may have a folded-link bracelet, and links for those might be harder to find.

Bracelet is marked as a 78360. End links marked 589. Its my understanding that the links for this watch(1994-79180) are not solid. At this point I just need a link to wear this beauty. Ill check with the referenced seller to see what I can find. Thanks for the info!

In the pic in the first post, the Tudor logo is on the dial but the rolex crown is embossed on the crown... is that normal? Tudor doesn't have it's own branded crown cap?
