Let's wait for the follow up pictures. Don't you think the AD selling it would have noticed this also? I mean when you look at the watch for more than 2 seconds it jumps out and slaps you in the face.

Real or not I fail to see your problem?

If it's real then just go back to the AD, get your money back or pick another one.

Look at the first picture in the black dial the white figures at the border of the dial are not equal to hour marks.Where 40 and 45 writen that is no equal to hour mark.

I see that and again I ask: What is your problem?

Go back and get a refund or a new watch.

What do you think you're going to acomplish by writing to Rolex?

Maybe having a QC employee (or two) fired?

On the other hand, you may have something of value there. Who knows, maybe in the future this kind of error can bring big money among collectors. Look what happens with mail stamps!!!

If I were a big shot at Rolex and someone came to me with a fault like this (assuming it is an error in a real Rolex), I can assure you I would not take it lightly. There are many good watches out there that can give you the time accurately. The difference is that Rolex makes a living out of NOT MAKING MISTAKES LIKE THAT and producing (or at least releasing to the world) timepieces which are close to perfection. Otherwise the price difference could not be justified.

Rubbish, everyone is and are entitled to make mistakes as long as they correct it.

If the OP goes back to the AD he will get a new watch no questions asked.

I don´t agree on your first assertion. Rolls Royce is not entitled to make mistakes at the same level as Skoda. If they make one mistake of the importance of what we have seen here they would be begging for your forgiveness. And that is what I would expect of Rolex. And that you can only get from Rolex Geneva

On the second, even a chinese 10 dolar watch would be replaced if it showed a fault like that. It would be wonderful if Rolex wouldn´t give you a new watch or started to ask questions. That would be the cherry on the cake of Rolex reputation.

I find it amusing that you would bring up Rolls Royce as an example.

I bought a new RR and had nothing but problems the first 6-7 monts.
The car was in and out of the shop numerous times and nobody begged my forgiveness.
Heck, I didn't even get a loaner but in the end they finally got it right.

Again I say, for the OP just return for a refund or a new watch allthough my gut tells me he is an attention seeker and is hoping to get something for nothing which in my book equals a low life character.

If this is indeed a real Rolex, I'd just have a new dial put in it and save the misprint. There is some credence to the possibility of it becoming a valuable collectors item in the distant future. Remote but possible.

If the OP watch is indeed real then yes it should not happen but just cannot see how you can bring Rolls Royce or even Skoda into the equation.Rolls Royce perhaps make a couple of hundred cars a year with extreme Q/C all the way. While Rolex mass produce around 800000 plus units a year and would have to expect a very very small percentage could have a slight problem. And when you think of all the different dials made in perhaps different factories but now owned by Rolex. But all the original poster has to do, is go back to wherever he/she bought it for a exchange or refund. And too tell those wherever he bought it he is going to write to Rolex HQ Switzerland it really is that simple.

The engraved corner is already visible in this picture and the lower picture i cannot share because at the lower area its serial number is engraved and i dont want to share serial number of the watch.

The projected sales ( leaving the factory ) figure at Rolex for the year 2011 was 1,700,000 units , they came short at just over 1,200,000 units . The main reason the top management team at Rolex got replaced ..again .
Is the 800.000 units figure based on the COSC certif. issued ? If so , Rolex was issued that many certificates in the year 2000 . Since the new manufacturing plant Rolex produces twice as much .

P.S : Rolls Royce will produce and sell about 3000 units in 2012 .

OP, I understand your frustration but you have to understand that in a situation like this, the ball is on your court to prove that the watch is real.
One of the first signal of a fake Rolex is poor assembly or finish. Now, your watch looks good BUT the mismatch on the dial (per se) seems impossible.
Everyday this forum is threatened by users posting fakes (for different purposes) and, if the watch raises doubts, users tend to lean on the safe side (for the credibility of the forum) and declare it fake.
So please, try to produce more evidences that the watch is real (for instance, you can take more pictures and mask out part of the serial). Frankly, aside from the dial, it looks real to me but I am not really expert in spotting fakes.
